The production area of SPLAWN BELTING, INC. is divided into two departments: Conveyor Belting and Power Transmission Belting.
CONVEYOR BELTING SPLAWN BELTING has two conveyor belt slitting machines, one is capable of slitting belts up to
4 m (157 inches) in width, There are a number of water- cooled presses in various sizes for belt endless and longitudinal splicing. Several ply-splitters and finger punches are in use. Although most of its belts are finger-spliced, SPLAWN BELTING also has a skiver which can accommodate belts in excess of 4 m (157 inches) in width. Various types of mechanical fasteners (lacing) are available, including spiral plastic lacing and Minet flexible plastic lacing. In addition, a high- frequency (RF) machine is used for thermal attachment of cleats, of which a variety of types are available. Two machines for thermal attachment of longitudinal guide profiles are in use, again, a number of shapes and sizes are available in both PVC and polyurethane. A
perforating machine is used to punch belts for vacuum and other applications. SPLAWN BELTING also offers field-splicing services.
POWER TRANSMISSION BELTING Included in the PT department are leather, rubber, and fabric covered nylon-core or nylon fabric belting. These belts are also made to individual specification, and made endless or prepared for field splicing. This department also handles splicing of round urethane belting and preparation of spindle tapes, carrier tapes, etc. In addition, conveyor belts which are to be prepared with skived ends are done in this department.
Efficiency and accuracy are routine at SPLAWN BELTING, INC. There are in-process checks to verify specifications.
Standard delivery on cut, endless belts is 3 to 5 business days; 7 to 10 business days for others with special fabrications such as guides, cleats, or perforation.
